Abstract

The article deals with malleability and deviation in relation to the line of poetry. Topics discussed include synthesized form of the fluid couplet, Charles Olson's projective verse wherein most of his thoughts about poems and the way they appear on the page were much more fluid than his predecessors and many of his contemporaries, and what makes the fluid couplet different from the traditional couplet.
