Abstract

The article explores the differences and similarities in Adam Smith's books "The Wealth of Nations" and "Theory of Moral Sentiments" with regard tot he principles of common prudence and human cooperation through exchange. Topics discussed include the essence of market exchange, doctrine of the correspondence of sentiment, and prudence as the virtue of commerce grounded on sentiments giving rise to justice and injustice.
