Eudora Welty Society.

The article reports on the 2023 activities and developments of the Eudora Welty Society (EWS), including its annual business meeting held at the American Literature Association Conference in Boston. The Society approved a new tiered membership dues structure starting in 2024, reflecting members’ professional status and contribution levels. The EWS sponsored multiple panels and a roundtable at the conference and supported members presenting papers at the European Southern Studies Forum in France. It also awards the annual Ruth Vande Kieft prize for outstanding essays on Eudora Welty, with a new judging rubric recently adopted. The Society plans its next international conference for 2025 at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, and will host panels at the 2024 ALA Conference in Chicago.
