Abstract
The article explores the eschatological theme in Eric G. Stanley's paper "The Judgment of the Damned." Topics discussed include the appearance of Jesus in majesty accompanied by the angelic hosts, the imagined scene that Jesus is the judge welcoming the blessed and threatening the damned, the theological idea that God as Father, Son, or Holy Ghost is imperturbable, and the parallel of the homily on the judgment process in the Old English poem "Christ III."
