Abstract

The article presents the discussion on play "Doctor Faustus." Topics include performance depends upon the participation of and cooperation between actors and spectators; and provoke such a powerful dissolution of the boundary between onstage and offstage worlds, and why was such a theatrical experience so appealing to early modern playgoers.
