Abstract

The author presents her respect and admiration to American poet Yusef Komunyakaa. She describes how her emotions were affected by the poems of Komunyakaa. She reveals the her favorite poem by Komunyakaa is "Anodyne." She also mentions that she read the book "Dear Yusef: Essays, Letters, and Poems for and About One Mr. Komunyakaa," edited by John Murillo and Nicole Sealey.
