Abstract

The article examines how the Covid-19 pandemic transformed marketing channels, based on a survey of 314 U.S. marketing leaders from The CMO Survey. It identifies five key trends: expansion of marketing channels, persistence and growth of face-to-face (F2F) channels despite digital advances, increased use of social media for sales especially in B2C sectors, the rise of direct-to-customer (D2C) channels for better customer insights and control, and the underutilization of gamification in marketing strategies. The article emphasizes the importance of strategic evaluation when adopting new channels to ensure alignment with brand goals and customer experience.
