Abstract
The article focuses on using the Photon Robot and its associated Photon Coding mobile app to create figures with an axis of symmetry, aiming to support the teaching of symmetry concepts in elementary education. It presents methods for programming the robot at various difficulty levels—Photon Draw, Photon Badge, Photon Blocks, and Photon Code—to draw symmetrical shapes, exemplified by the letter "T," including coordinated drawing with two robots. The work highlights the integration of robotic systems and gamified learning as tools for developing digital competence, creativity, and foundational understanding of symmetry within STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education in Bulgarian schools. Practical recommendations for educators on using the robot and auxiliary materials are provided, emphasizing suitability for primary school settings and alignment with national STEM education initiatives.
