Abstract
The optical and geometric properties of a class of generalized conics are presented. The study makes it possible to find in an original way several results of classical geometry and to connect numerous curves by a common law. Applications in geometric optics are envisaged, with the production of diopters, lenses or mirrors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
