Abstract

The article focuses on the rise of Genghis Khan, originally named Temüjin, and his impact on Asia and the Silk Road during the thirteenth century. After facing hardship and being cast out from his clan following his father's death, Temüjin became a formidable leader, ultimately earning the title of Genghis Khan after decades of warfare. He established the largest empire in the world by employing skilled horsemanship and fostering loyalty among his troops. Additionally, Genghis Khan revitalized the Silk Road, transforming it into a vital trade network that facilitated the exchange of goods and technology between Asia and Europe, moving beyond the exclusive control of wealthy leaders.
