Abstract
The article focuses on the historical traumas experienced by the Comanche people, particularly the ailment known as "twisted face" or ghost sickness. It explores the decline and devastation of Comanche society following colonization and the subsequent efforts to assimilate and erase their culture. It also highlights various approaches to healing and empowerment, such as language revitalization, storytelling, and the documentation of trauma for justice.
