Leonardo DRS to Provide Advanced Space-Based Infrared Sensor Payload for Missile Defense Program.

Abstract

The article focuses on recent advancements and contracts awarded to U.S. defense and aerospace companies supporting military technology and operations. DMI secured a contract to provide full lifecycle IT management and secure network services for the U.S. Army's 403rd Army Field Support Brigade in Northeast Asia. CACI International Inc. received a five-year, $250 million task order to enhance the Army's electronic warfare (EW) and spectrum dominance capabilities. Leonardo DRS was subcontracted to supply advanced infrared mission payloads for the Space Development Agency's missile defense Tracking Layer Tranche 3 program. Additionally, AeroVironment, Inc. and CAL Analytics launched an operational Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) airspace management facility in Ohio, integrating command and control software with FAA radar feeds to enable safe shared airspace for military and civilian unmanned aircraft operations.
