Abstract
An interview with professor John Morrill, an expert on English Civil War, is presented. Topics discussed include the situation in England upon the death of Oliver Cromwell in 1658; the nation's security and the absence of immediate uprisings, disarmed Royalist opposition; and the lack of popular support, the militarized regime with garrisons in Scotland and Ireland, land transfers and deportations in Ireland.
