Abstract

The article focuses on recent U.S. military and aerospace technology initiatives, including the Air Force's request for information on electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapons to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and DARPA's upcoming briefing on the Scalable On Array Processing (SOAP) project aimed at advancing radar digital phased array processing. Additionally, the U.S. Space Development Agency (SDA) is soliciting industry proposals to develop and deploy satellites equipped with infrared sensors for tracking hypersonic missiles under the Firecontrol On Orbit-support-to-the-war Fighter (F2) program. The article also highlights a partnership between Eve Air Mobility and Flexjet to simulate urban air traffic management (Urban ATM) software for urban air mobility (UAM), validating its application for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and existing helicopter operations.
