Abstract
The US military has conducted strikes on three installations in Iraq in response to a drone attack that injured three American personnel. The targeted facilities were said to be used by Kataib Hezbollah, an Iraqi insurgent group backed by Iran that has been designated as a terrorist organization by the US since 2009. The strikes were described as necessary and proportionate, and early assessments suggest that the targeted facilities were destroyed and a number of militants were likely killed. There were no indications of civilian casualties. [Extracted from the article]
