Ukraine is not Melos.

The article discusses the use of the story of the Athenian invasion of the still-independent island state of Melos in ancient history to support the idea of negotiating with Russia over the issue of Ukraine. It argues that negotiations should be pursued to complement the cause of freedom rather than an alternative to continued fighting proposed negotiations seem unrealistic and to be accepted by Vladimir Putin's regime, considering the evidence of Russia's unlawful aggression towards Ukraine.
