Abstract
The article focuses on the escalating violence and deteriorating conditions in the West Bank amid broader regional conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. It details intensified Israeli settler violence against Palestinians, including shootings, property destruction, and land seizures, often with tacit or explicit support from Israeli authorities such as the National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The expansion of Israeli settlements into areas designated for Palestinian control under the Oslo Accords is highlighted, alongside increased military raids and restrictions on Palestinian movement. Despite these pressures, Palestinians in the West Bank remain determined to stay, resisting displacement amid fears of a new catastrophe distinct from the 1948 Nakba. The article situates these developments within the wider context of ongoing war and regional instability. [Extracted from the article]
