Abstract
China's recent support for the "Palestinian unity" agreement between Hamas and Fatah is not driven by a genuine desire for reconciliation, but rather by its desire to undermine the United States. China has long sought to position itself as a leader in the "Global South" and has used diplomatic activity on major issues like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to assert its importance. However, China's recent shift in attitude towards Israel, including the spread of antisemitism in Chinese media, reflects its strategy of using conflicts to rally global public opinion against the United States. Ultimately, China's goal is to reduce the global political influence of the United States and strengthen its own position. [Extracted from the article]
