Abstract

The article reports that Japanese troops stormed ashore at Kota Bharu in Malaysia and fired the first shots of World War II in Asia before Pearl Harbor. It mentions fascist Thai Field Marshal Phibun in Bangkok made a deal with the devil, allowing Hirohito's troops to use Thailand as a corridor to Burma, Malaya, and Singapore, in exchange for which Thailand. It also mentions colonial Indian forces blasting away through slits in the pillboxes.
