Abstract

The article focuses on fostering intergenerational connections as a solution to social isolation, especially prevalent during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Topics include the risks of social isolation for older adults; definitions of social isolation and loneliness, health detriments, the importance of intergenerational connections; and examples of successful intergenerational programs in community centers and schools.
