Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive overview of the life and contributions of Casimir Pulaski, a Polish military officer who played a crucial role in the American Revolutionary War. Pulaski's skills as a cavalry commander were instrumental in saving the Continental Army from potential defeat at the Battle of Brandywine Creek. He went on to establish Pulaski's Legion, which influenced the training of American cavalry officers and had a lasting impact on the US military. Despite controversy surrounding his remains, Pulaski is celebrated as a symbol of American and Polish independence, with numerous monuments and commemorations dedicated to his memory.
