Abstract

The article highlights the crucial role of Voice of America (VOA) in countering disinformation and supporting democracy in Burma, particularly in the face of the military dictatorship's propaganda. VOA has been a trusted source of truth for the Burmese people, amplifying voices of resistance and exposing human rights abuses. The article also discusses China and Russia's influence on Burma's junta, as well as the threat of Islamist extremism in Rakhine State.
