Abstract
The article discusses the Battle of the Little Bighorn and the emergence of conspiracy theories surrounding the event, particularly focusing on claims that President Ulysses S. Grant deliberately sent General George A. Custer on a military campaign with insufficient troops to silence him. The author, Wendy A. Wallace, presents two new books that aim to expose a conspiracy surrounding the events leading up to and following the battle. However, the article critiques Wallace's work for lacking proper evidence to support her claims and for presenting a misleading thesis based on speculation rather than credible sources. The article ultimately suggests that the conspiracy theories surrounding the Battle of the Little Bighorn should be put to rest. [Extracted from the article]
