Abstract

London-based jazz band Ezra Collective has been gaining attention and excitement since winning the Mercury Prize. Their upcoming album, Dance, No One's Watching, was recorded at Abbey Road and aims to capture the energy of their live performances. Inspired by Damon Albarn's work ethic, drummer Femi Koleoso decided to make the album while on tour with Gorillaz. The album reflects the band's diverse influences and global audience, featuring collaborations with artists who have a personal connection to the band. Despite their success, the band remains grounded and focused on their core values, including their commitment to diversity and supporting young Black women in the music industry.
