Abstract

Chenier, a native of Leonville, Louisiana, was a master of the chromatic piano key accordion and significantly influenced the zydeco genre, which blends various musical styles and is primarily sung in French. The tribute album, "A Tribute to the King of Zydeco," features contributions from various artists, including The Rolling Stones, and showcases modern accordion players from Louisiana and Texas.
