Abstract

The article reviews a selection of recent recordings focused on keyboard and organ music, highlighting historically informed performances and notable instruments. It covers works ranging from French Baroque organ music, including a reconstructed Messe propre by Couperin, to harpsichord sonatas by Baldassare Galuppi and suites by Handel, as well as Romantic and 20th-century organ repertoire by composers such as Friedrich Lux and Olivier Messiaen. Particular attention is given to the use of period or replica instruments, such as historic organs and harpsichords, and the interpretative approaches of the performers. The reviews emphasize the historical context, instrument qualities, and the significance of rediscovered or rarely recorded works within the organ and keyboard music canon.
