Abstract
Sväng is a harmonica quartet from Finland known for their magical and mischievous performances. They play a range of harmonicas, from tiny ones to a bass version the size of a toaster. The group was formed in the early 2000s by harmonica graduate Jouko Kyhälä and has since gained international acclaim. They have released several albums, including their recent release, Svängo Nuevo, which continues to surprise listeners with its diverse repertoire. Sväng's music is influenced by Finnish traditions, tango, blues, and even Radiohead. They have collaborated with other musicians and recently launched a project with an orchestra called Svängfonia.
