Abstract

The article focuses on the experiences of intellectuals in Socialist Romania, particularly under the influence of Soviet policies. Topics include the centralization of scientific research and the role of intellectuals in promoting state propaganda, the shifting cultural identity post-Stalin, and the four stages of intellectual development from the 1940s to the 1980s, culminating in the period of self-marginalization under Ceaușescu.
