Musical chairs: Recent personnel moves within the classical music sector.

Abstract
The article focuses on recent key personnel appointments within the classical music sector. Paavo Järvi has been named chief conductor and artistic advisor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, starting in the 2028-29 season. Opera Australia appointed Amy Lane as its new director of opera, while countertenor Michael Chance will become chair of the Leeds Song Festival in 2026. The Royal College of Music announced conductors Vasily Petrenko and Speranza Scappucci as international visiting artists, and choral charity Ex Cathedra appointed James Burton as its next artistic director. Additionally, music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins named Maria Neophytou as its new CEO to lead its strategic development.
