Abstract
The article shares observations from sabbatical visits with five renowned collegiate trombone teachers, finding no single formula for success but identifying common trends in teaching and studio management. Topics include pedagogical questioning and modeling, studio logistics such as ideal size and communication; and fostering a supportive studio community.
