Abstract
Dickey Betts, co-founder of the Allman Brothers Band and a pioneer of southern rock, has passed away at the age of 80. Known for his extraordinary guitar playing and unique dual-guitar sound with Duane Allman, Betts was a significant member of the band and wrote many of their quintessential songs. Despite his rock-star behavior, Betts was highly respected in the music industry and influenced many musicians.
