Abstract

This article focuses on the Canadian rock band Rush’s decision to resume touring after the death of their drummer and lyricist Neil Peart in 2020. Band members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson discuss their emotional journey from the band’s apparent end following their 2015 R40 tour to their renewed desire to perform, leading to the announcement of the extensive "Fifty Something" tour starting in June 2026.
