Abstract
This article presents a curated compilation titled "Top of the World," featuring a selection of new global music tracks from diverse artists and regions. It highlights notable contributions such as Malian balafon master Neba Solo and donso n'goni virtuoso Benego Diakité, Algerian-French singer Souad Massi, Palestinian oud player Saied Silbak, and Touareg desert blues group Tinariwen, among others. The compilation spans various genres and cultural influences, including Afrobeat, shaabi, Inuit throat singing, and samba-reggae fusion, showcasing contemporary world music expressions. The collection is available as a CD with the April 2026 issue and includes bonus tracks from artists like Altin Gün and the all-women Riyadh rock band Seera.
