Abstract
This article focuses on the legacy of musician Prince, marking the 10th anniversary of his death in 2016 from an accidental opioid overdose. It highlights a new photo book, *Prince: Black, White, Color* by Steve Parke, featuring rare images of Prince taken between 1996 and 2001, including moments with his ex-wife, singer Mayte Garcia, who reflects on their life together and their late son Amiir. The article also discusses Prince’s use of emerging digital photography technology to control his image and Garcia’s ongoing work with the Live 4 Love charity they founded. The collection and reflections aim to reveal lesser-known personal and creative aspects of Prince’s life beyond his public persona. [Extracted from the article]
