Abstract
The article offers insights for emergency nurses on recognizing delirium and effectively managing it. Topics covered include the three delirium types of hyperactive, hypoactive, and a mix of both, and their symptoms, such common risk factors as dementia, aged over 65, and frailty, and such obvious causes as pain, infection, and constipation. Also noted are patient approaches by emergency nurses like avoiding unnecessary moves, actively treating conditions, and considering the environment.
