Abstract
This study investigates the current status, workload, and factors influencing the intention to use telenursing—defined as the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to provide nursing care remotely—among home healthcare (HHC) nurses in Korea during the post-COVID-19 era. Surveying 130 female Korean HHC nurses, the study found that 33.8% currently use telenursing primarily for consultation and education via smartphones, voice calls, and messaging. Higher educational levels, positive attitudes toward telenursing, and social influence significantly increased nurses’ intention to use telenursing, while perceived usefulness and ease of use were not direct predictors. The study highlights the need for a clear definition, institutional support, standardized recording practices, and strategies addressing attitudes and social factors to effectively implement and expand telenursing in Korean home healthcare.
