Abstract
When recovering from an illness, broken bone, or surgery, it is important to focus on nutrient-rich, plant-based foods that can aid in healing and support the immune system. Some recommended foods include leafy green vegetables, berries, nuts and seeds, whole grains, legumes, citrus fruits, ginger, turmeric, mushrooms, probiotic-rich foods, and certain teas. For recovery after surgery, it is important to consume foods high in protein, vegetables, vitamin C, whole grains, omega-3 fatty acids, healthy fats, and fluids. When healing a broken bone, it is important to consume foods rich in calcium, vitamin D, protein, magnesium, vitamin K, vitamin C, omega-3 fatty acids, and zinc. It is recommended to consult with a healthcare provider or dietitian for personalized advice. [Extracted from the article]
