Abstract

The article focuses on several health-related studies presented in a medical journal supplement. One study highlights the Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI) as a simple and effective tool to identify hospitalized elderly patients at high nutritional risk, which correlates with increased hospital mortality. Another study examines dietary habits among healthcare workers at a tertiary hospital in Egypt, finding that many do not meet healthy eating recommendations due to factors such as busy lifestyles and irregular work hours, suggesting a need for institutional support to improve their nutrition. Additional research addresses the widespread use of personal listening devices among students and associated auditory risks, as well as factors influencing hepatic decompensation in patients undergoing transarterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma.
