Abstract

A neutropenic fever is a potentially life-threatening complication of chemotherapy. Nurses must be aware of and assess patients for the signs and symptoms of neutropenia, and educate patients and their families on interventions to prevent febrile neutropenia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
