Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at University Sains Malaysia explores the relationship between mental health and sports performance. The study introduces the Kawa model, developed by occupational therapists, as a methodology to promote mental health ability in individuals. The model consists of five elements: water, river banks, rocks, driftwood, and space. The research suggests that the Kawa model can enhance self-awareness, self-understanding, goal-setting, self-efficacy, stress and anxiety control, and lays the foundation for future research in this area.
