Abstract
The article explains how the positions of the Sun and Moon influence the Earth's tides, causing the sea to rise and fall at different times. The Moon's gravitational pull creates high tides when facing or opposite the Moon, while the Sun's weaker pull affects tides as well. Different types of tides, such as spring and neap tides, are categorized based on their height and frequency, impacting various coastal regions differently. Animals, like mussels and whales, adapt their behaviors to the changing tides, with some species relying on tidal movements for reproduction and hunting. [Extracted from the article]
