Abstract
The article focuses on the challenges faced by misinformation researchers as they work to understand the complex ecosystem of misinformation and its impact. Topics include defining what constitutes misinformation, the politicization of the issue, and the difficulty in measuring the real-world harms of misinformation. Despite the growing body of research, the field still grapples with ambiguity in terms of how misinformation is identified and how it spreads across political divides.
