Abstract
The article focuses on research conducted in Wenzhou, People's Republic of China, examining the impact of distributed leadership (DL) on teaching innovation (TI) among lower secondary school teachers. The study, which analyzed data from 3,976 teachers in Shanghai using the 2018 Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS), found that DL fosters TI through significant mediation paths involving teacher collaboration (TC), teacher self-efficacy (TSE), and teacher autonomy (TA). The research highlights the importance of moving away from traditional management models to enhance educational practices and competitiveness in China.
