NSF awards $42.4M to support future semiconductors research.

Abstract

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded $42.4 million in grants for its Future of Semiconductors (FuSe2) competition. The grants, in partnership with Ericsson, Intel Corporation, Micron Technology, and Samsung, will support research and education in semiconductor technologies. The aim is to advance U.S. leadership in semiconductor research and innovation, addressing challenges such as emerging computing tasks, energy efficiency, performance, manufacturing, and supply chains. The projects funded by these grants will focus on advanced computing technology, improved energy efficiency, advanced function and high-performance electronics, and next-generation materials and devices.
