Abstract

AARP, a global leader in aging policy, is committed to sharing experiences, knowledge, and resources overseas. CEO Jo Ann Jenkins recently led a delegation to Africa to discuss aging in developing countries, resulting in Tanzania's Zanzibar region lowering its universal pension age. AARP's international team has worked with specialists and policy leaders on every continent, exchanging ideas on aging well. Some examples of aging innovations around the world include Taiwan's age-friendly hospitals, Singapore's subsidies for young adults living with older residents, and Japan's "watch-over service" provided by postal office staff. AARP International publishes findings in The Journal, and more information can be found on their website. [Extracted from the article]
