Abstract

This research is then combined with literature from the global North and Bolivia and other South American countries, demonstrating that this is an important subject that different countries have approached with the main interest of finding a viable solution for Bolivia. This book explores the history of Bolivian foreign policy from its independence in 1809 to the early days of Evo Morales's government in 2006. Ronald Bruce St John focuses on Bolivia's permanent struggle to get access to the ocean, highlighting the landlocked country's enduring aspirations. [Extracted from the article]
