Abstract
The article discusses the evolving regulatory developments for financial technology (FinTech) companies in the U.S. Topics include the adoption by Colorado of legislation opting Colorado out of sections 521 through 523 of the Depository Institutions Deregulation and Monetary Control Act of 1980 and the enactment of state consumer credit laws by state legislatures in Connecticut and Minnesota to regulate FinTech firms that operate through partnerships with traditional depository institutions.
