Abstract

The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency is accepting applications for the Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant Program (RCPGP) for the fiscal year 2024. The program aims to enhance regional capacity in managing catastrophic incidents by promoting collaboration and preparedness. The deadline for applications is July 25, 2024, and a total of $10.8 million will be awarded to 5 to 10 recipients, with each award ranging from $1 to $3 million. State and local governments are eligible to apply. The program focuses on core capabilities such as housing, community resilience, and long-term vulnerability reduction. The grants can be used to develop targeted resilience strategies and plans or integrate challenges related to affordable housing and long-term vulnerability into broader approaches.
