Abstract
By deconstructing the Israeli narrative, Leslie shows that the enmity between Iran and Israel was far from inevitable. With chants of "death to Israel" and the extreme speeches of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran gave Israel the stick to beat it with. Jonathan Leslie's I Fear and insecurity i offers a much-needed critical analysis of the Israeli perspective on and perception of Iran. [Extracted from the article]
