Abstract
This article examines the play "Le chant du retour" by Vera Feyder, which was commissioned to commemorate the bicentennial of the French Revolution. The play incorporates historical elements and explores the concept of humanism through the character of Maxime. It also addresses themes of fraternity, freedom, and the treatment of foreigners in the town of Arras.
